Why the Tuono 457
5 highlights
01
Dashboard
The Aprilia Tuono 457 features an ultra-modern 5” colour TFT display which provides a clear and intuitive interface. The handlebar commands are backlit for easy reading even in dim lighting conditions and deliver easy access to the various functions. Ride by Wire includes three Riding Modes (Eco, Sport and Rain) which adapt engine output and traction control to different conditions, meaning you always enjoy the very best riding experience possible.
02
Full-LED lighting
The lighting units use full-LED technology for excellent visibility and an unmistakable illuminated profile. The completely new front unit is a compact and essential headlight cluster typical of a true Naked, innovatively reinterpreting the iconic triple-headlight design characteristic of all Aprilia models and including a small lower spoiler. The Aprilia Tuono 457, as a true nonconformist, is the only Tuono without a front headlight fairing attached to the frame.
03
Suspension
The 41-mm fork with 120 mm of travel is preload adjustable. The rear shock, which operates on the asymmetrical steel swingarm, is also preload adjustable and offers 130 mm of travel, ensuring optimal adaptability to various riding conditions, even with a passenger.
04
Brakes
Equipped with ByBre callipers acting on 320-mm steel discs at the front and 220-mm at the rear, the Aprilia Tuono 457 ensures an immediate and consistent brake response, courtesy of the front radial-mount calliper and the Bosch dual-channel ABS. The latter features a dual-mode setup, allowing the rider to choose whether to activate assistance on both wheels or just the front one.
05
Wheel rims
The Aprilia Tuono 457’s 17” wheel rims accommodate tyres measuring 110/70 up front and 150/60 at the rear for a combination that delivers unrivalled handling and showcases the renowned precision and solidity of an Aprilia chassis.
The Aprilia Tuono 457 makes a design statement with its compact, essential lines that capture the sporting soul of a true Naked. The triple full-LED headlight cluster reproduces Aprilia's iconic style, while the small spoiler, with its advanced aerodynamics, pays homage to the legendary Tuono 1000 R. Every detail is the result of functional, sports-oriented design, with the fuel tank’s excellent ergonomics combining with the wide handlebar and low seat, tapered at the sides, to deliver a riding experience that is comfortable but always dynamic.
The Aprilia Tuono 457 is powered by a modern 457-cc twin-cylinder engine with load-bearing capacity. This jewel of Aprilia technology has deliberately been left uncovered to showcase its uniqueness in the category.
The ultra-modern liquid-cooled engine delivers up to a 35 kw (47.6 horsepower) at 9400 rpm, the maximum allowed for a motorbike with an A2 licence, and a record for a forward-facing twin-cylinder with this capacity.
The Aprilia Tuono 457 is the only bike in its segment to boast an aluminium frame, a choice that ensures dynamic excellence. Designed using Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) advanced technology and extensively road tested, the frame helps the bike achieve a dry weight of just 159 kg, setting a record power-to-weight ratio. The suspension package is also high level, with the preload adjustable on both the 41-mm fork and rear shock absorber, which operates on the asymmetrical steel swingarm. All in all, the perfect formula for a rigorous yet highly responsive riding experience.
Technology is used to up the fun for Aprilia Tuono 457 riders, courtesy of an electronics package that is set to revolutionise the segment. Ride by Wire, originally introduced by Aprilia in MotoGP, combines with three Riding Modes that optimise power output, torque and traction control across three levels, even while riding. To make your ride easier and more intuitive, simply select the most appropriate mode using the handy backlit handlebar commands and you’ll see your choice displayed on the ultra-modern 5” TFT colour dashboard.
