“It's got some poke… It's a caged animal. It wants to be unleashed.”

“You can feel the potential of everything, particularly the chassis. It feels very, very nice.”

“It's so solid on the road, it's ridiculous.”

The QJMOTOR SRK 921 RR has been put through its paces on circuit, and the early verdict is an encouraging one.

As part of a new long-term test for Two Wheels Feels, the bike is set to be used through the winter before eventually being developed into a dedicated track machine. Gemma and Al took the bike out on circuit, making a few changes along the way to move it closer to the track bike Gemma is aiming to create.

Even before this latest session, the SRK 921 RR had already seen plenty of action, with multiple riders completing repeated track sessions without issue.

“We haven't been kind to this bike… and it's still running and nothing has fallen off of it.”

Exceeding Expectations

There were clear reservations going into the test, particularly based on previous experiences with other motorcycles from emerging manufacturers. However, those concerns quickly started to disappear.

One of the first observations was:

“This feels sturdy. It feels well built.”

As confidence grew, so did the praise.

“I am pleasantly surprised… It's got massive potential.”

And when asked directly for first impressions:

“It is way better than I was expecting.”

Engine and Chassis

The 921 RR's engine also made an immediate impression.

“It's got some poke… It's a caged animal. It wants to be unleashed.”

The chassis was another standout area. Initially, the road-oriented tyres were found to be limiting the bike when pushed hard on track, but once they were replaced with tyres better suited to circuit riding, the difference was immediate.

“Oh, this is better. It wants to turn. You can put it where you want it now.”

The improved tyres allowed the riders to explore the chassis properly and gave much more confidence through the front end.

“You can feel the potential of everything, particularly the chassis. It feels very, very nice.”

Strong Braking Performance

The braking system also impressed as the test progressed.

There was some initial caution around pushing the brakes and ABS hard on circuit, but confidence grew with every lap. The brakes were described as “great”, while the ABS was praised for working without becoming intrusive.

For a bike being tested in an environment far more demanding than normal road use, that was another positive result.

A Strong Road Bike Too

Although much of the video focuses on turning the SRK 921 RR into a track machine, some of the strongest comments were actually about its road performance.

Despite weighing around 225kg, the testers noted:

“It doesn't feel like 225 kilos when you're riding it.”

The bike's stability also received plenty of praise:

“I think it would be a brilliant road bike.”

And:

“It's so solid on the road, it's ridiculous.”

There are still areas the team plans to develop for serious track use, including suspension setup, tyres and fuelling. But underneath those changes is a motorcycle that impressed with its build quality, engine, braking performance, chassis and overall potential.

Perhaps the best summary came towards the end of the video:

“I honestly wasn't expecting it to be that good.”

For the QJMOTOR SRK 921 RR, this is only the beginning. With a full winter of riding ahead and plans already in place to develop it further as a track bike, it will be very interesting to see just how far the platform can be taken.
